THE NERTHERCUTT: is a museum of automobiles and other collections. This beautiful museum is located at 15200 Bledsoe Street, Sylmar. There are two buildings full of oldcars, and expensive pieces like dolls, musical instruments and a giant room of cars. You can see automobiles like Cadillacs, Rolls Royces. But the beautiful collection of 250 American and European automobiles is amazing (years 1898 to 1997), a collection of furniture (antique) and musical instruments, a 1937 Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson Locomotive, a private car from 1912, and a lot more. You really have to see this beauty! This place is extremely nice and clean. They don't have restaurants inside, because the collection is valuable not only in money, but in history too. They don't admit kids under 12 to the tours because in the tour they show you the most expensive and delicate collection the museum has. That's why you have to make a reservation at 818-367-2251. If you don't make a reservation and/or you have a child between the ages 8 and 12, you can see part of the collection that is less valuable. The tours are twice every day, parking is free, ADMISSION IS FREE. THE TRAVEL TOWN MUSEUM: This Museum, at 5200 Zoo Drive, Los Angeles, CA. 90027, is not only a simple museum of train history, there are real locomotives, freight cars and cabooses, passenger cars, and motorcars. The best thing is you go on those. They are open to the public and kids can jump on, and pretend to be engineers or passengers. You can find a history of the different pieces of the collection the museum has. There is pretty cool store with all kinds of train-toys, and kids can play with the big collection of Thomas the tank engine the store has for free, a miniature train ride for the family, passenger cars ready to rent for a party, and more. One of the best attraction here is the Los Angeles city an train system in miniature. You can see the mini San Fernando city, the mini trains, etc. Kids love it!. THE SANTA MONICA BEACH/PIER: This beautiful place is full of fun,1400 Ocean Ave. Santa Monica. Beginning with the pier, here is were we can find places like Merry-go-round, fast food restaurants , Arcades, souvenir stores, an aquarium and opportunity to practice fishing. The view is amazing from the pier, or even better from the roller coaster. The beach is close, so you can enjoy the sun, read a book, work on your suntan, play with a ball, make new friends, even do exercises. The beach has a lot of places with exercise equipment an more than 3 miles to run, use your bicycle, skateboard or just walk. If you left your bike at home, there are many places you can rent one. There is also a little place to play golf or enjoy the artists over the pier. THE ADMISSION IS FREE, and parking costs less then $10. The Santa Monica pier is pretty close to the new Santa Monica Mall and the 3th. Street promendeL. WILLIAM S. HART PARK/MUSEUM: is one of the biggest parks of Los Angeles County. It's located at 24151 San Fernando, Newhall, CA. 91321. This place is really, really fun: William S. Hart is a big property with 260 acres. There is a mansion, a barnyard, picnic areas, "a park full of fun". William S. Hart was a big movie star of Hollywood, and he always played cowboys. In his free time he loved to collect Native American decorations (arts and crafts). Bill Hart's mansion is now a museum, there we can enjoy every single piece of furniture, piece of art, and amazing thing like the last soap he used before died. All his personal things and valued pieces fill every corner of the mansion. The museum was a donation from William S. Hart to the city, there are a lot of volunteers who take care of it. They have tour, every day, explaining part of the mansion history. Right outside the house there is a cemetery for 3 of his pet dogs. And few bison (this was a gift from W. Disney). The rest of the property is a park, one of the California Golden Parks. There we can find a barnyard (a lot of animals), kids love this, picnic areas, places to run o walk, and much more. CABRILLO MARINE AQUARIUM: This fantastic place is located at 3720 Stefhen M. White Drive, San Pedro, CA. 90731. It is a small aquarium compared to others, but they have a lot of information and fun for adults and kids. This aquarium is part of San Pedro Beach, there are many amazing things to do, like people can play at the beach, read a book, or just watch the kids at the park right there on the sand. If you like fishing, there is a pier, and some people keep fishing all night long. Here you can find picnic areas, restaurants, and the building of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. The aquarium is full of different s kinds of species like: octopus, sea stars and more. They have kid's programs about marine biology and science, arts and crafts, etc. But the best place is in the back of the aquarium "a Pacific's habitat" with fish, sea stars, all kinds the Pacific's species, even sharks, so you can see and touch if you want. For 15min. long at different times at day, you can enjoy the place. The admission is free, (they suggest $5 adults, $1 kids, buy is optional). You could be a member too.
